Lil Lolita challenge card...

You gotta just love these girls! I'm addicted thats for sure:D This card i've been making for a couple of days now....my sewing machine decided it didn't want to play when i got half way through stitching around the image :O so after many hours of fiddling (and a few curse words) i finally got it to play ball and got it finished...you have to come along to play at 'Lil Lolita's' this week they have a colour challenge pink, purple and cream and the fab 'Sookie' for a prize! here she is....

lil lolita challenge #5 - ribbons

Oh boy did i have fun making this :D did take ages to thread the ribbon though lol I ripped a few bits off a huge feather i have sat on my desk and put it behind the flowers then decided you culdnt see it very well in main pic so i did a close up lol I adore lil lolita stamps :D you can find the challenge i entered.... I had to push the ribbon aside to take the pics as the gel pearl centers were still wet lol It's been a while since i made an easel card so i thought i'd give it a whirl..with the fab inspiration from the lil lolita challenge pic i got to work :D And entered it into these challenges....

Finallyyyy!! :D

Ok i admit it...i went a little camera crazy lol...and this wasn't all of them! lol Ok sooooo...here is my card for very 1st challenge over at 'Lil Lolita'

I used tim holtz crackle paint on the backing paper..which is basic grey..really effective but you cant see it so well in the pics


did some distressing and used a safety pin to hold together a bit i ripped too much (on purpose of course lol)

wound some twine stems of the flowers around a paintbrush just to add to the effect...a little something i have to thank Debbie for over at passion for crafts (such a talented lady)

latst but not least got out the old faithful prit stick (which i hate using lol) and twirled some pink string to give the image a bit of a frame :D

I also entered it into these challenges.....

Woohoooooooo!!!!

I had to shout about it coz i'm soooo chuffed:D I just got my Lil Lolita stamps and they are fabbbbbbb! I can't wait to use them and well....i'm off to order the rest of the set lol knew i should have got them all when I 1st ordered :D I'd have a pic but my daughters ran off with the camera to take photo's of 'bugs'?? in the garden lol...odd child i have lol

Well...this is my first....and my last :D side step card *me no likey!* mannn how hard are they to decorate!! had to colour her 3 times with promarkers to get her right (and its not like there much colour lol) then i find out my cards too thin when i put glue on the steps so i could glitter them....so they warped (one is gritting teeth by now) ribbons kept coming undone while trying to take pic...everytime i adjusted....the card fell over lol (goingbald by now) so i'd pic i up and the ribbons would slip....then the card would fall...you're getting the jist...right? rofl It was fun and unfortunately the pic doesnt really do it any favours as its alot prettier in person (or in card as the case maybe lol) I spent alot of time adding bits to suit certain challenges i wanted to enter.....

The newest of the 'Around the World' set :D This is when i wish i had loadsss of time to learn how to use my Robo as some cowgirl dies would have been awesome right now lol But i did what i could with what i had and made it for a couple of challenges :D....

'inky impressions' - at least 2 letters from 'flowers' i picked 'f'flowers, 'o' circles (eyelets), 'r'ripping/distressing, 's' stitching (i went a little crazy trying to get all the letters lol)

Must admit i really wish i had some suede lying around for this lol

Nopeeeeee....think again all 3 are gorgeous....from the detail in the cards to the video the comes with it! But mooching and mooching again i decided on the carousel horse...reason....i only wish i was talented enough to try something so fabulous
